Posture

Poor posture leads to excess energy expenditure in an attempt to stay upright. Tilting your head downward to read your phone can be the equivalent of 60 lbs of pressure. Long hours of sitting in front of the computer, television, and mobile phones can cause tension in our neck, hip, and spine. By retraining your posture, you will:

  • Gain body awareness to improve your posture.

Meet Your Holistic Health Coach: Joa Rivas

Elite International Personal Trainer, Brain Coach Performance certified, Fitness Instructor, Nutrition and wellness Specialist,
Thai Massage Therapist, International motivational coach, Birth/Postpartum Doula practitioner

Joa Rivas was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a health educator since 2010 with experience coaching people across Europe, Australia, India, and Southeast Asia.  

She is a Fitness Instructor as well as a Yoga, Pilates, and Tai chi teacher in wellness retreats overseas. A continuous learner with a passion for holistic health and fitness, she furthered her studies to become a personal trainer, fitness instructor, and nutritionist specialist.

Having suffered from scoliosis from a young age and learning to overcome it through nutrition, posture, and exercise, Joa has created a unique and effective online educational program for posture support and correction, especially for people that suffer from scoliosis and chronic backaches by reconnecting the brain and body to improve life performance and work productivity.

Let’s be productive and thrive in life

Her fitness versatility skills cover ways to develop proper workouts to create optimal hypertrophy to help them build muscles and get stronger and fitter. In addition to coaching clients online worldwide since 2013, she lived in Sydney Australia and Singapore doing what she loves doing, coaching!, Joa has also completed the Hypertrophy Academy of the Canadian Center of Strength and Conditioning in 2014 and became an international personal trainer in 2016 from the Australian Institute of Fitness.

Joa competed in 9 fitness shows all over the world representing Venezuela and Canada, she achieved her ultimate fitness goal to look symmetrical having scoliosis and completed the Brain coach performance certification with Posture Pro school this 2022. She loves cooking and traveling to discover local cuisines flavours wherever she goes. She supports a non profit organization “ Banda Azul” to educate and feed the bellies of 1500 kids in her homeland, Venezuela.
