POSTURE SCHOOL PROGRAM

A 16-week virtual coaching program designed to improve posture, increase mobility, and relieve pain in combination with your current physiotherapies. This method incorporates Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi imparted in a series of posture and mobility classes, live fun group coaching sessions to keep you accountable, simple tools, daily habits, and proven techniques that you can access anytime, anywhere from a mobile friendly app to reconnect your brain and body.

BODY MIND RESTORE 360

A 12 week virtual program that involved your individual participation in a group setting. Either you are a busy parent or a busy professional, you can finally dedicate just 30 mins of your day to your sacred self, your body and mind. In this customized coaching program for stressful professionals to regain peak physical & mental energy so they can do their best work, optimize their mental wellbeing, reach their highest potential and get into their best shape. Hi, I am Joa

My name is Joa Rivas, and I am a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Coach, Yoga and Pilates Teacher since 2010, and Scoliosis Warrior. I am based in Toronto and have been coaching clients worldwide, online and in-person, since 2013. I also partner with companies, providing bespoke corporate wellness programs to help improve employee wellbeing. Some of the organizations I’ve worked with are Lanterra Developments, Wonder4 Exchange, Trend Micro and the International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC).

Growing up with scoliosis and chronic back pain, finding no relief despite all the treatments,I know how frustrating it is with pain getting in the way of what you love to do. From curiosity and consistency I became a health educator.

As a brain coach performance certified, I help people with back pain to correct their posture and learn about rewiring the brain and body through easy and effective techniques to incorporate during the day.

This is what I love to do.

Everything starts from becoming aware of the power of the brain and body connection.

Before I started training with Joa I had experimented with several different styles of working out: yoga, cross fit, circuit training and a lot of different sports. I can genuinely say that through training with Joa I have seen results faster than any of the other work out forms listed above. Every session is different and feels completely customized to my body and me. The workouts are challenging, dynamic and unlike anything I have really done before.

As a lifelong advocate and practitioner of various forms of exercise, I have recently been introduced to the benefits of working out with a personal trainer. It has improved my wellbeing both physically and mentally. At 66 years of age I thought that it wouldn’t be possible to actually become stronger and leaner by adding more muscle mass to my body.
